THE ARTIST

Nicolas Maalouf

No stranger to creativity, the artist and creator of Sunflowerism started his path with simple doodles and drawings, as any passionate teenager would.

This then led him straight into Art school, where he learned the “hows” of art, without letting them delimit or define him.

Afterwards, inspired by his favorite classical artists, the dark and peaceful night, and a variation of alcoholic beverages, he began his own journey.

With Dali, Pavarotti, and Bacardi all influencing his mind, the talent and innovation were unleashed.

THE ART STYLE

Sunflowerism

It all started when words were not enough for him to express himself.

Using a fine line uni pin and colored pencils was the start. In the process of randomness, he was fascinated by the pattern and transparency of watercolor, which was then added to the mix of mediums.

Circular, curvy and edged forms, diversified combination of colors, and dreamy characters constitute the style, all the while telling a story.
